GOTS
This is the world-renowned certification for organically grown textiles. Kadolis obtained the certificate in 2022, the result of a long work started two years before. It certifies both the products and the factories and guarantees ethical, sustainable and transparent production.
What does the GOTS certification guarantee?
➔ GOTS certifies the use of fibers from Organic Agriculture grown without pesticides or insecticides. It allows for sustainable water management by limiting discharges.
➔ It prohibits all chemicals that are hazardous to health and the environment.
➔ All stages of manufacture are environmentally friendly and it guarantees good working conditions for producers by paying them decently.
What are the harmful substances controlled by GOTS?
It prohibits toxic heavy metals, carcinogenic dyes, endocrine disruptors, formaldehydes, phthalates, microplastics... Where chemicals are unavoidable (dyes, softeners...), limit values for residues must be respected.
ECOCERT
Known in organic cosmetics and cleaning products, Kadolis chooses the French certifying body ECOCERT GREENLIFE to accompany it in its certification program of its company and its bed linen made of organically grown cotton. Kadolis obtains the ECOCERT TEXTILE certification in 2022.
What does the ECOCERT certification guarantee?
➔ ECOCERT guarantees traceability and transparency on the production chain, from raw materials to the consumer. Our manufacturing preserves natural resources (water, air, soil).
➔ Product packaging must be biodegradable or recyclable, FSC® certified.
➔ Working with ECOCERT is to ensure that your health is protected, that you are better informed, that our planet and its resources are protected and that waste is reduced.
What are the harmful substances controlled by ECOCERT?
GMOs, synthetic pesticides, chemical nitrogen fertilizers, harmful dyes and synthetic perfumes, silicone and parabens are prohibited. ECOCERT controls chemical products on the plantations (to promote biodiversity) and during the manufacturing process (as few additives as possible).
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is the reference textile certification to ensure that your mattress or bed linen does not contain any hazardous chemical substances. Kadolis obtains its certificate in 2017 for the strictest level of requirement: product class 1 - Articles for babies and young children.
What does the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification guarantee?
➔ An OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified product has been tested by an independent laboratory for harmful and controversial substances: it is safe for your health.
➔ All components are tested: fabric, thread, button, zipper, labels, materials.
➔ The product is controlled at all stages of manufacturing : from cotton processing, to yarn processing, through weaving and dyeing stages.
Which harmful substances are controlled by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100?
Carcinogenic or allergenic dyes and flame retardant treatments are prohibited. The laboratory checks the limit values of harmful substances such as formaldehydes, heavy metals, pesticides, chlorinated phenols, phthalates, solvents and dyes.
ECOLABEL®
Created by the European Commission in 1992, thanks to its "Flower" logo, ECOLABEL identifies products whose environmental impact is limited, from their manufacture to their recycling. The fiber filling of our pillows and comforters comes from the German brand Dacron® and is ECOLABEL certified.
What does the ECOLABEL certification guarantee?
➔ ECOLABEL certifies that the polyester fiber in our pillows and comforters is safe and healthy for our health and the environment throughout its life cycle.
➔ Our label fiber includes recycled fibers, mostly from plastic bottles.
➔ The label also controls the biodegradability of the fiber, the consumption of water and energy necessary for its manufacture and its great durability.
What are the harmful substances controlled by ECOLABEL?
ECOLABEL prohibits or limits substances that are toxic to health but also to water resources, air quality and soil preservation: musks, formaldehyde, alkyl phenol, ammoniums, allergens, biocides, bactericides...
