I just unpacked one of the two shims I ordered. It feels great to the touch. However, very difficult to install on the mattress because the elastic is too tight and cracked when I tried to force it a little (by bending the corner of my mattress). Too bad.

Very pleasant to the touch, well waterproof and quick drying.
