Sleeping longer on weekends is pleasant, it allows us to recover after a long work week or after an evening that is a little too late... But a study would show that it could also save our lives!

Researchers have looked at the sleep patterns of nearly 40,000 people and concluded that good weekend sleep can improve some health problems and reduce the risk of premature death, as lack of sleep can lead to many health problems, so poor sleepers are more likely to have health problems than good sleepers, but it seems that for those who "recover" from sleep deprivation on the weekend, the difference decreases.

It seems that people under 65 sleeping less than 5 hours a night have a 65% higher mortality rate than those sleeping between 6 and 7 hours.

But beware, sleeping little during the week and recovering at the weekend should only remain a punctual catch-up solution, the best being of course to have a regular rhythm, both for sleep but also for food.

Remember that to sleep well, it is essential to be in a cool room, on a quality mattress and in a tidy room, to take care of your skin and the air you breathe, use natural mattresses and Organic Cotton bed linens, natural materials without chemical treatment provide a healthier environment in your room and offer a more peaceful sleep.
