How long should children sleep?

In fact, every child is unique and the amount of sleep they should get is not exact, but depends on their age and, above all, their physical and emotional health, as theSpanish Paediatric Association (AEP) explains. However, to give you an idea, you can consider the following recommendations for hours of sleep per day:
- Newborns: between 16 and 18 hours.
- Children aged 2 and over: around 13 hours.
- 3 to 5 years: 10 to 12 hours.
